A Love Story Years in the Making in Hereford, Maryland (Northern Baltimore County)
The minute I met Courtney and David on their venue tour of Montagu Meadows in Westminster, Maryland, I knew there was something special about this couple. Their love story began years before their first date. What started as a twice a year family and friends gathering turned into the ultimate love story.
How it all started?
Courtney’s godmother is David’s cousin, who also happened to be Courtney’s neighbor before she moved. I know this sounds complicated but every year, David’s family hosted Memorial Day and Fourth of July cookouts, and Courtney would often attend with David’s cousin. Although they spent years crossing paths at family gatherings and celebrations, neither of them ever imagined they would one day fall in love.
That all changed when Courtney decided to ask David on a carnival date. What started as a fun outing quickly turned into something much more. From that day forward, they were inseparable and fell in love.
The Wedding Engagement
David and Courtney went to dinner at one of their favorite restaurants. That same night, David proposed to Courtney at home. David made sure to make the proposal intimate and special because he knew that Courtney would not want others watching the proposal. This restaurant ended up being so special to them that they ended up choosing them as their wedding caterer.
Exciting News Before the Wedding
A few months before their wedding day, David and Courtney visited Montagu
Meadows for their detailed planning meeting. They sat down with venue owner Christina Krone and Lauren from Best Day Events to review their timeline, vendors, and final wedding details.
In the middle of the meeting, David received an exciting phone call from their real estate agent. The offer they had submitted on a house had been accepted! The couple celebrated not only their upcoming wedding but also the beginning of homeownership together: a truly unforgettable milestone.
A Beautiful Orchard Ceremony
On a beautiful June afternoon, family and friends gathered at Montagu Meadows’ Orchard Ceremony Site. The couple exchanged vows beneath the venue’s shabby chic round arbor, surrounded by the shade and beauty of the orchard’s grand trees.
Courtney looked stunning in her wedding gown from David’s Bridal, while David waited patiently for the moment, he would see his bride walking down the aisle.
Their Westminster, MD wedding ceremony was heartfelt, joyful, and filled with the love and support of family and friends who had watched their relationship grow over the years.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came at the end of the reception when David and Courtney shared a private last dance inside the barn. With their guests waiting outside, they enjoyed a few quiet moments together, reflecting on the incredible day they had just experienced.
A Glowing Send-Off
To conclude their perfect wedding day, family and friends lined up outside the barn holding foam LED glow sticks. The illuminated pathway created a fun and festive atmosphere as
David and Courtney made their grand exit as newlyweds.
The Honeymoon
Courtney and David spent their honeymoon on a cruise to Miami, Coco Cay, San Juan, St. Kills and Nevis. This was a first for Courtney - first flight and first cruise!
From childhood connections and family cookouts to a carnival date, a new home, and a beautiful June wedding, David and Courtney’s love story reminds us that sometimes the best relationships are the ones that have been quietly growing for years.
