Here at Montagu Meadows, we are so excited about our new Guest RSVP Portal. The guest portal was created to make the RSVP process easier for the guests and the couple. Guests will be able to visit Montagu Meadows website under Guest resources and quickly RSVP with a unique code. Other important guest information on the wedding venue will be located under resources. Check out some FAQ about RSVP etiquette below:
Q: As a guest am I invited with a plus one?
A: The best way to know is to check the names listed on the wedding invitation that was sent to you by mail or email. If your envelope or RSVP card includes your name and a guest’s name (or says “and guest”), then a plus one is included. If only your name appears, the couple kindly requesting that you attend solo. At Montagu Meadows, our couples often plan intimate celebrations surrounded by their closest friends and family, and guest lists are created with care to fit the space and the style of the day. If you’re unsure, it’s perfectly fine to reach out and ask politely and just be sure to do so early, before RSVPs are due.
Q: Are children invited to the wedding?
A: Your invitation will be your best guide.
• If children are invited, their names will typically be listed on the envelope or included on the RSVP card (for example: “The Jones Family” or “John, Sarah, and Isla”).
• If the invitation is addressed only to adults, it means the couple has chosen to make their celebration adults-only or they have limited the number of children attending.
At Montagu Meadows, many couples choose to host adult-only receptions so their guests can relax and enjoy the evening under the barn lights without the need to worry about bedtime routines. If you’re unsure, a polite message to the couple is always welcome. It’s always better to confirm than assume.
Q: What should I do if I’m unsure how to RSVP or have a question about my invitation?
A: Don’t worry! It happens! If something on your invitation or RSVP card isn’t clear, simply reach out to the couple or the contact person listed on the invitation. They’ll be happy to help and remember Montagu Meadows offers a free RSVP Guest portal to all couples who book at their wedding venue.
